Claudia is a dedicated designer who enjoys working in groups. She has a strong passion for creating beautiful webpage layouts and logos using the Adobe Creative suite. Being raised in Malaysia, she is able to speak five different languages.

The brief for this group project was to select a brand and extend its family of product. The group has decided to design a range of haircare products for the brand Alessi. The products in the range include a hairdryer (designed by Claudia) and a 'HARE' straightener (designed by teammate Maddie Blake).

The form of the hairdryer was inspired by a heron, following the animal theme for the range.

After the initial design stage, a well-finished model was created along with CAD drawings done on Solidworks.

1. Due to the shape and size of the object, different parts have to be cut separately on the CNC machine.
2. The two parts are then joined together.
4. The part that represents the air vents of the hair-dryer is then glued onto the model.
3. The surface of the model is smoothed with sand paper.
5. The final product.
